Using a jigsaw, cut a curvy headboard from medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and paint a base coat in a color you love. When dry, use a stencil roller (find it at a crafts store) to apply a trendy damask stencil in a cool contrasting color. We rounded out this vignette with stenciled pillows."

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AN ARTIST FOR THIS ONE... INSTRUCTIONS: "For this large canvas, simply return to old college textbooks for words and phrases you like and enlarge them on 11x17-inch paper. After trimming the pages close to the text, glue the papers to a large piece of canvas. Cut colorful tissue paper into irregular shapes. Using glue diluted 3:1 with water and a wide paintbrush, affix the tissue-paper shapes to the canvas. When the tissue gets wet from the glue, the words show through."
NOT SO ORDINARY VINTAGE FRAMES... CAN'T WAIT TO DO THIS ONE!!! I think this would be cool with more personal pictures instead of vintage pictures either printed in black & white or sepia.
I LOVEEEE THIS ONE, They used ceiling medallions (what goes around the top of a light fixture to hide the hole in the ceiling). You can get these at Lowes for a decent price.
